Been wanting to try Mecha Uma since last month, but heard that it was
on its soft opening with limited seating. So finally had a chance to
try for a Birthday Dinner and I must say Mecha Uma overwhelmed my
palette. It was such a treat—with no exaggeration!!!
Recent
years Manila been really progressive with new restaurants. This baby takes the cake. I find myself savoring every dish. It was
truly an experience I hadn’t had for the longest time.
There is no menu. Ten
courses, many of which are seafood. The Chef surprises us whatever
tickles his fancy based on what is freshly available. I remember the
dinner took us almost 2hours and looked forward in every dish that was
coming out. Figuring each dish before Chef Bruce can explain his
creations. Fresh produce wonderfully layered.
Thanks
Jane Tai for the Birthday Treat &
Danna Coyiuto for arranging the dinner
